Skippo operates the Nordics' most beloved navigation app and digital boating platform, skippo.se, used by nearly a million boat owners. Our goal is to radically improve and simplify boating life for all boating enthusiasts in the Nordics, and we are now looking for a senior developer who wants to help build the future of boating services.

In the Nordics, boating is a unique cultural heritage with more boats per capita than anywhere else in the world. But despite a generally high level of digitalization, the boating world has remained traditional and analog - we are here to change that!

Our ambition is high - we are building the next generation experience for boat owners. We have ambitious plans regarding user experience, new features, and services that can contribute to a better, simpler, safer, and more inspiring boating life!

As we expand for the 2026 season, we need to strengthen our product and tech team with another fantastic senior developer who has the capacity to work broadly on the development of new amazing features and products.

At Skippo, you will be part of a tight-knit team of developers, product owners, UX/UI designers, and data engineers where there is a high ceiling and every contribution counts.

What we expect from you:

• You are passionate about and have the ability to build amazing products that people love based on a design. Together with our other developers, you will take https://www.skippo.se (https://www.skippo.se) to the next level!
• The ability to contribute to all stages of the product lifecycle: design, implementation, experimentation, testing, release, and maintenance.
• Understanding both technical and user requirements and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to find good solutions.
• Knowledge of modern architecture, system design, data structures, and software engineering principles, and an understanding of how these can be applied to create scalable and robust solutions.
• You are independent in developing with React, Node Js, Wordpress, and Java/Kotlin, and have experience with Google Cloud.
• It is definitely a big bonus if you share our passion for boating and/or have experience building map/navigation services.
